State of the art and state of the heart

Last week several Safe Place Board members toured Colorado Canine Orthopedics as well as the ER Clinic and the Internal Medicine Clinic. We were there to present Dr. Bauer of Canine Orthopedics with a plaque in gratitude and appreciation for all he has done for many of the animals we have worked with.  As for the tour, suffice it say that the three facilities are definitely state of the art and state of the heart.

Speaking with Dr. Bauer, Dr. McReynolds and PS Fournier, Marketing, it was obvious that giving back is at the core of their mission. Seeing the OR’s, ICU, chemotherapy and recovery areas as well as other highlights it was just as apparent that they believed in investing in cutting edge technology in order to give their patients the best chance at a full recovery. In fact, I had to fight the urge to ask if they might consider taking a look at my gimpy left hip!

It is comforting to know that these professionals are in our community should one of our pets need specialized care.  We do our best for them but stuff does happen.
